So I rang the doctor who contacted the surgery nurse, she has told me to take up a low carb diet. I looked at it and I don't like it! She advised me to eat whatever veg grows above ground- well I am down to Sprouts, cabbage, green beans and peas. All the rest of the veg I do not like. I have to stop having cheerios for breakfast- they have too much sugar, well at least I will enjoy porridge oats, but I will still have a banana with my breakfast for potassium- bananas are out because they contain alot of sugar. Eggs are for lunch- omelettes, scrambled egg and the idea of eating anything full fat and butter too is marvellous. But red meat- no thanks. This is going to be a challenge...
