So today hasn't been brilliant. I've been on my diet for a week now, and when I started I guessed my weight roughly, however just managed to weigh myself and I'm almost 5 stone heavier than I first thought. Feeling a little disheartened at the moment, seems such a long way to go. It's been a wake up call though, I need to change the way I eat and live my life

You can do it! Start with walking and check your calories for everything. I found so many hidden calories in the food I was having, cutting those out helped me a lot.

I try to do at least half hour walk a day. I've also brought a cross trainer, just waiting for it to be delivered. I just hope I have lost some next week, even 1lb would be enough

That's a great start! You'll need some weights as well, not just cardio. Dumbbells are difficult to come by and ridiculously expensive atm but filled 0.5l water bottles will do for a start😄.
Just watch what you eat, less carbs more protein is the way to go, I've realised. Have been eating so much crap last week, still doing the exercise but dreading the weigh in on Sunday. Plenty of water, they recommend 1l for every 25kg but my max is 4l a day and that's pushing it.

Hey! Please keep the hope high. For me it works not thinking at all the weight I need to lose, but to break it in several milestones. For example, my 1st one was losing 5 pounds. Reaching the little milestones encourages me each time and gives me more power to keep going. I wish you all the strength you need for your journey :)
