This week's weight loss represents falling down and picking myself up/dusting myself off and going from the (mini) Christmas detour. Be that as it may, that isn't the big thing I'm excited about. I have been so miserable with "slow" digestion since the end of week one. I've tried so many things to avoid using a laxative for the past month. I haven't found a miracle cure; I'm still suffering. The personal miracle has been not throwing in the towel on Atkins; not letting my roadblock define me. I made up my mind that I would stick it out, record my food religiously and if at the end of the month I hadn't lost weight I was going to call the doctor. Angie gave me a pep talk (thank you!) that kept me going this week. I drank more water. (Sally is a camel with two humps?) I cut out broccoli and cauliflower this week, cut down my cheese, ate l.o.t.s.o. leafy greens. I gave myself a chance to be successful.
