I had my first personal training session this morning. It went very well. I also walked for about three hours today, and I'm eating very well.

Phew, the gym was hardcore. It took a 30 minute power walk to get there, and a 30 minute power walk back, plus about 45 minutes of differnet kinds of exercises with the trainer and 30 minutes on an exercise bike.
I signed up for a $40/8 sessions with a personal trainer-her name is Jody and apparently she's crazy. I'm meeting her tomorrow. I'll see her about once a week, since it's 8 sessions and I'm there for just about 8 weeks.
I'm making a very yummy stir fry soon for dinner, plus i have my low-cal veggie soup.
All in all, today has been great.

Wooooo! I joined a gym for two months with my boyfriend! It's a super nice gym, and maybe after the two months, I'll try to get a deal to stay on later, but otherwise, our new roommate will be here, and I'll be going running with him quite a bit. And I'm fairly certain I'll lose quite a bit of weight while I'm at the gym, because it's a 30 minute power walk there, and I'd like to work out for over an hour, and that'll most likely be 5 days a week. Yay, I'm so excited!
Tomorrow I have a full assessment where they do a body composition analysis, physical condition assessment (take me through a bunch of exercises to test my stamina, flexibility, and strength), cardiovascular efficiency assessment, workout assessment, goal setting, establish target heart rate zone (maximize fat burning), workout technique assessment, a workout orientation(demonstration of workout program by a professional fitness instructor), and nutritional knowledge assessment.
How cool is that? And I'll be able to see what equipment I like the best, cause I'd really rather pay a one-time fee for a treadmill than pay a ton of money every year for a gym membership, even though, I know, a gym would have more variety and classes and such. Oh that reminds me, the classes available are yoga, cardio salsa, boot camp, pilates, studio cycling, etc etc. I might try a class out, but I think I'd be more of a solitary person, like working out on the weight machines and doing tons of cardio, just listening to my ipod or something.
I also bought a really cute pair of workout pants today. I am soooo excited for tomorrow. I'll let you all know how it goes as soon as I get back!
