Down 2 more pounds. I love this Eat Fat, Get Thin program. I am not hungry, I don't have any cravings, and I eat avocados, nuts, and eggs - ong with lovely green and red veggies, and fruit - and I have lost now 12 pounds. I started in December - and never once stuck to any eating regimen. I always ended up scarfing down anything in sight - and I would make up combination just to eat, or run to the store - so driven to have sugar or carbs. Then two weeks ago when they said I may have had a heart attack - and began all the tests - I started in earnest using healthy fats - and whole foods. Nothing prepared me for this. I feel good, I have energy, and I can concentrate. No sugar fog. One big help is removing unhealthy foods - and not buying them - so no bread or pasta (or cakes, cookies etc.) I don't miss them at all. I am shocked - I am approaching 70 years of age and have never eaten this well. I am so glad this forum is here to share my excitement - it helps a lot - it is concrete. Have a GREAT day. (I am eating 1400 - 1600 calories a day).

I did good yesterday, and today I am on-track.. I find the coffee drink with Irish Butter (grass fed cows) and the brain oil - really gives me a lot of energy, and I am not as hungry during the day. I still eat portions that are too large; however, to counter act that I decided to record my food choices for tomorrow today - so I don't have to think about it - shaved quite a few calories off doing this - because today I recorded after I ate - I think having to record what I am going to eat first allows me to make better choices - and not let my runaway brain dive into the refrigerator - no guidelines. I find I really need structure. Tomorrow I weigh again - hope to see more loss.
I also just got the book Eat Fat Get Thin by Dr. Mark Hyman. I am going to transition to his eating plan beginning in March - I will let you know how that goes - I am eating close to that now, but I will follow his plan exactly for 21 days. It is supposed to dedox - eliminate cravings - and really help your body heal itself.
Thanks for the comments - it is a big help to be part of a community of like minded people - who are on the same journey.
Have a great day.

It took a heart event to get me to get back on the right path. But I have gotten there - and I am loosing weight.
My food plan is healthy fats, fish, chicken, turkey, water based veggies, berries, and small portions of other fruit. Measured portions, writing down what I eat before I eat it. Making informed decisions about how much to eat - and NO sugar, grain, or dairy - for now.
