Losing 0.1 kg a Week
24 August 2007
Well, I gained a half pound back, but I'm actually not sad because since last weigh-in I found out that I am pregnant! So, I obviously can't follow the diet to the letter - although I'm scheduled to start Phase 3 on Monday which is a lot closer to what I should be getting for nutrition, so I plan on still following it loosely. It's actually a great way to make sure I keep my fruit and veggie intake up, and my weight gain in line with doctor's orders. Prior to this "diet" I think I would have taken this as an excuse to eat like a maniac, but I'm doing really well - so I'm really proud of myself! Plus, getting into the habit of eating several small meals a day has certainly helped with nausea and heartburn, as I'm sure all the Mom's on here can remember. :-)
So, I'm going to stay here - it's a great way for me to monitor my eating and weight gain - plus, you guys are all so awesome! Plus, I'll be able to get right back into the swing of things once the baby is born (April '08) and lose that baby weight!!

Losing 0.8 kg a Week
10 August 2007
I was dreading my weigh-in today for a couple reasons... I had to go to the mall on Wednesday night to pick up a baby shower gift (more on that in a minute), and naturally, got out there and was starving. My husband and I decided to go to On the Border and get some fajitas without the tortillas. I did well, when they brought my food, I immediately took half of it and put it on my bread plate to take home. That was the good part, I failed to mention the mound of delicious fresh tortilla chips staring at me. I had 3, so not awful, but then I had the little shreds of tortilla chips that came on the salad...2 steps forward, one step back.
Then, the baby shower was last night at 5pm. I had to rush to get there from work, so I didn't have time to have my own dinner, but I did have an apple in the car which kept me from the cheese and cracker plate. By the time dinner was served at 7, I was getting pretty hungry - as I turned the corner, much to my dismay dinner consisted of store-bought chicken and tuna salad finger sandwiches, potato chips, and sherbet punch! Talk about anti-smash! I broke down and had a sandwich...and let me tell you, that small piece of white bread was like heaven! I resisted the urge to binge, and stopped at 1. Dessert was a beautiful looking fruit salad...drowned in grenadine (who does that?!).
So, after all of that I was so scared to see my hard work go down the drain, and then the scale said I lost 4 pounds!!! Happy Day!

Losing 1.8 kg a Week

Well, I didn't lose this week, but I didn't gain - so that's good. I wasn't really expecting to lose much of anything - I followed the eating part fairly well, with the exception of a cheeseburger and ice cream on Tuesday, and a Wendy's frosty yesterday (yum!), but I only exercised a couple times. I have a wedding this weekend, so we'll see how I do food wise, but I have strong expectations for next week!
