Sorry, its been a while since I weighed in here. Life got too busy for a while :) I haven't had the most successful past two weeks, but I've had losses both times, so at least that's good. Hubby has gone back to work now so I can get strict again :) Its too hard when he's home. He supports me, but he thinks I'm a bit nuts and all I need to do is exercise. He doesn't understand that weight loss is both exercise and a healthy eating style. He got frustrated with me one night cause he asked me if I wanted to have dinner at his sister's house and I said not really (I'd already eaten out twice that week and was not feeling good) and he said she was only cooking roast chicken, so I shouldn't worry about it. Chicken is fine. Chicken roasting in fat for a few hours is not. I went anyway. Back to my plan today :)

I only lost 0.4kg this week and I know exactly why. My Jenny consultant told me not to exercise cause I'd come down with a terrible cold and my body needed to heal itself. Once I was fairly well recovered, I went out golfing with my hubby (I'm a terrible golfer, but I just walked around the course with him). That was good, but in our town, golf is very social and its often accompanied by drinking. I didn't end up having lunch but I had a rum and coke instead, which was about 1000kj. For a girl who's on a 6400kj diet, that's a lot. That was on Saturday. We did it all again on Sunday, except the golf club was putting dinner on for everyone and the pressure was put on me to stay. Dinner was beef schinitzels with salads (not nice healthy garden salad, but rich creamy potato salad and coleslaw). It was delicious, but I still felt guilty for doing it.

Since then, I've been pretty good with following my menu and exercising. On Tuesday night, hubby came out running with me. He challenged me to a race so we had fun chasing each other around and boy, did my thigh muscles get a work out! On Wednesday night I went to taekwondo, which was awesome as always, except I think I need to start stretching my muscles before I go, and again after I get home. We do a warm up and warm down there, but I don't think its enough for me cause for the next two days, I feel like the Tin Man! And I got a huge blood blister on my big toe, so that wasn't very nice.

I had a lecture in the city yesterday with some other work mates and was proud of my healthy lunch - they went for fried food, and I got a chicken and salad sandwich made up and had a small amount of fruit salad. It was delicious too! Looking forward to jumping on the scales again in 3 days!

I did it!! As I said in my last entry, last Friday I jogged for 10 minutes without stopping. When my husband called that night I told him and he was really proud of me but then said "why did you stop?". I didn't have an answer! I just stopped cause I was only trying to reach 10 minutes.

Yesterday I jogged for 20 minutes without stopping!!! It was so easy too! I'm so happy because I've never been able to jog for that long! I love that I've found a strategy to keep my mind occupied so I don't keep looking at the clock - I just count. If I count to 500, that's 10 minutes. If I count to 1000, that's 20 minutes. Well, 21 minutes to be exact!

It was also another goal achieved - one of my short term goals is to exercise for 30 minutes 5 times a week. That jog was my 5th lot of exercise for the week. Yay!!

I can't wait to hop on those scales tomorrow morning! Lets see how much all my work has paid off...
