i am amazed. i just had to share.
nine days= 4 inches!
4 inches off my waist, hips, and thighs!
i'm absolutely amazed. i still haven't weighed myself, and at this point i could care less! i'm halfway to my goal loss of eight inches!
anybody struggling with the horror of phase one, don't fret! stick to the plan, you'll be glad you did.

week two. way to be easier! i didn't believe the talk that week two got much easier, but it did! i feel like i have a grip on what i'm doing and also the temptations that come my way. i'm able to now take a step back and see what i was doing out of my love for food and what i was doing because it was there. these are good things!
in more data-oriented news, i have yet to weigh myself. i do not own a scale. i know myself too well and when i worked at a gym, my life was on that scale. i became more obsessed with the number than with my goal or even what i was doing to change the number i saw! so, no weigh in's for me ever. also i'm using an unmarked ribbon to keep my measurements and marking them on the door so that i focus on how i feel instead of how i compare to sizes. with all that said, i lost two-ish inches in the first five days!! the last two pairs of pants i've worn are also way bigger than they wore. YAY!
so my day eight verdict on the flush: a brutal mind of matter battle that is worth the pain and suffering of the first week.

uhoh. road block. day four and i want off the train.
am i the only one having trouble with the
amount
of food?? My body got really accustomed to little or no breakfast and an early dinner. done. of course the breakfast was yogurt and then the dinner was served through a drive through window or a microwave. I get home from work now and the last thing i want to do is eat another meal. man. all i really want is a piece of bread and a cup of tea.
anyway, finally got the energy to nuke my dinner- luckily i made my week's meals ahead or i definitely would have cheated by now. instead i'm doing a mini cheat today and eating 5 almonds. i want so badly to be really, really good for the first two or two and half weeks so i can really enjoy my cheat day like i earned it.

just started yesterday on phase one. it was easy since i had the day off of work. today was a challenge. the cran water is hard to hide- i am a teacher and the students will pick up anything and drink it- but i managed just fine.
Breakfast is my biggest challenge. Drink the cocktail, the lemon water, eat eggs, and cran water?? I barely have time to get dressed in the morning, so that may be my biggest challenge. I hard boiled the eggs to make that easier.
After work is also really hard. I am so drained and so tempted to just pick up the carbs aplenty at the grocery store. Today i didn't and i'm pretty proud of myself for that one.
anyway, so far so good. whew!
