I am in phase 3-I can add in healthy fats and dairy. I introduced a small amount of milk, 4 oz to be exact and 1/2 cup of organic plain yogurt. Wow, I have had stomach and intestine issues all day, did someone plan a fireworks show in my belly!? This is making me quite sad because I really love the taste of dairy, but my body is protesting! Bummed in Dallas 😭

So, today has been a 'write off' day. Woke up at 7am to prepare for a derm doc appt, but had to cancel because out of the blue, felt sick quickly, light headed-close to passing out- hot\cold sweats and then intestine distress. Took my blood pressure and it was 90/50! My husband tried his on same cuff and his was normal. I have been in bed all day, he brought me chicken breast and a small apple. I will recheck my BP now and eat a bit more. I have a headache and feel weak.

On Sunday I begin phase 3 of the HCG diet. As of today, I have lost 20.5 lbs in 38 days. This equates to a bit over 1/2 lb per day. I hope to lose at least 2 lbs by Monday morning. At that point I begin the 72 hour weening off the HGC. I am looking forward to adding back some healthy fats, most missed is the organic coconut oil and Grass fed raw milk with my coffee. I don't miss sweets or grains, although my husband made a grilled cheese sandwich earlier today that smelt so good. I am pleased with my current weight loss journey and can't wait to move onto adding back healthy fats and a bit more protein. I will be able to begin working out.

So...I guess I should be pleased with a loss of 17lbs in 30 days, but I must admit that I am frustrated. I am averaging under 750 calories per day. I am weighing, measuring and recording all foods, even down to the cloves of garlic and fresh herbs I am consuming. I had my metabolic resting rate tested and it's low, 1300 calories! With that knowledge I should be losing at least 1/4 lb on a daily basis. The majority of the 17lbs was lost during the 1st 2 weeks. I have only lost 3lbs in the last 10 days. I am eating 3 meals daily (3.5 oz of lean protein, 6 oz of veg) along with the choice of 1 serving daily of apple, 1/2 cup of melon, or 10 strawberries per day. I am not consuming any added fats, sugar or grains. I have 10 more days to go with the HCG injections. I will then begin with phase 3. I am committed and won't let this stall derail me! At minimum I am cleaning up my system by getting rid of all processed food additives. I have been weighing every other day but i'm only posting a loss of 1/2lb or more. I must admit that I am looking forward to adding back a little bit of raw milk to my coffee! I don't miss the sweets or grains, although I do appreciate 70% or darker-dark chocolate 😀💝
