For me, I am torn between eating WHOLE NATURAL foods and going completely low-fat/high fiber. The more processing food goes through, it loses the nutritional value and adds foreign chemicals and additives that our bodies were not meant to consume. Everything that is processed to be low fat or fat free or low cal goes through that process and THAT is what i struggle with when it comes to the low-fat diet. One thing the low-carb diet has brought to my life is HOME cooking... I no longer reach for the processed packages of lean-cuisine and what not that has so much sodium content, you might as well go get a cheese burger... I basically shop the produce section and the meat section and sometimes the dairy, but try to stay far away from the rest of the ailes at the grocery store...
