Well, I'm off to a good start, and Thank Goodness! Waiting a whole week to weigh was tough, but seeing an almost 5 lb loss is very good incentive to keep going. I was a little afraid that I wouldn't lose very much, as my metabolism is pretty sluggish since I stopped breastfeeding. I was amazed in the difference in my appetite - I only need about half of what I was eating before, and I didn't gain during that time. Feeding that baby allowed me to eat whatever I wanted, and I got pretty used to that. BIG shock to my system when I stopped! It was definitely a good lesson learned.

Losing 2.2 kg a Week

Back at it. I started again on Saturday, March 1st, and was 171.4 at that time. I have a wedding in 10 1/2 weeks, a big, society thing (in-laws), and can't face the thought of looking like a slug in the pictures. Also, I have been fighting some depression, and with the help of some meds, I now have my energy, attention and LIFE back. Suddenly there are things I'd rather be doing than sitting on my couch eating! My house is super clean and organized, and it's time to see to myself as well. Already day 5, and I haven't cheated at all. I have made a promise to myself that I will wait a full week before I weigh in, so I have really high hopes for Saturday morning. I'll post again then.
