2 lbs lost since the last weigh in and I am not horribly surprised that it was only two lbs since I did go out to dinner and had a few cocktails and some "un-smash" foods! I am in phase 2 of Fat Smash, but not really eating tons of meat. Have had some tuna steaks and salmon and chicken. Portion wise, cutting down on the "real foods". In all, I am happy about the weight loss and will stick with it. I am heading out on business today. Overnight trip to Louisville, Kentucky...fly home, pick up Jim and then head to Manchester, NH to visit his mom and stepfather for the weekend...thank God his mom is a fitness fanatic...great workout equipment there!!!

Jim and I went to a birthday party last night at a swanky swank restaurant in Baltimore called Pazo. We had a great time...and I did cheat a little bit. The food was delicious and I liked it because it was fresh and delicious. I had a bite of a empinada, a tomato, basil and buffalo mozzarella cheese salad with balsamic vinegar, 3 small squares of flat bread with sunflower seeds and for dinner I had seared tuna. I did not eat dessert, but did have a martini, or two...So, not too bad, in all. I sit here typing and it looks like I are a ton of food!!! Portions were small, so I feel not a ton of guilt.
I did exercise Saturday and Sunday and stuck to the diet.

I have found a SHANGRI-LA! I may be a few years behind the curve, but I consider myself a hip 30something! I have an Ipod and a myspace account...but I just discovered the podcast on Itunes. If you are an Itunes person, you may not know they exist. I have found some
FREE
all music downloads for exercising. This is continuous music mixed by a killer DJ. There are mixes for walkers and runners and they are timed with beats per minute, if you are into that...for me, I just like the music and the beat. I love my Ipod and my music collection...or maybe I should say addiction. I have A LOT of music. I hope that it will be my retirement! Let me know if you are interested, it is cool to find new music that I do not have to pay for because if I hate it, I can delete it!
Many of you have complimented me on my sense of humor and I can tell you that it means so much to me to hear that. I love to write and I love for people to enjoy it and laugh at the same time. I am happy to be here with you all and going through this together. If we were closer together, we could all meet and walk and then head over to the Starbucks to watch everyone drink there mocha chocolate venti extra whipped 5 raw sugar while we sip our decaf green teas, but you know what? We can do it here! I consider you all wonderful people, well most of you anyway, there are a few, let me tell you...never mind! Just thanks everyone, I am glad we are here together!

I went to the orthodontist this morning and got my retainer fixed as I seem to be biting it in the middle of the night. I think that I am pretending that it is a Twizzler or a piece of filet mignon! I seemed to have bit it so hard that I snapped a wire and created a sharp stake in my mouth...think sharp needle in your mouth. Thank God I am on this diet as soft food is good with this scrape on my tooth and hole in the roof of my mouth. Was that too graphic?
Great workout last night. I did 55 minutes on the elyptical (SP) machine while watching "The Facts of Life" on DVD (muted with captions) and listening to 80's music on the Ipod. Picture it, if you will...No comments, friends...I am a child of the 1980's and those "Facts of Life" girls have taught me many life lessons!
Dinner was an scrambled egg whites and veggies. I got some beautiful green beans at the Farmer's Market and steamed them with onions for lunch today.
