Experimented with some cooking today, made a low carb cheese cake with zero sugar lemon jell-o. Made the base with coconut flour instead of almond flour as that's what I had. It turned out really nicely. But because i had to sample this, it messed up my calories and carbs today. So I've realised now that I cant have a low carb tortilla thingy and have a piece of cheesecake. Ok tomorrow's another day and I can choose one or the other lol. Still I am learning. Scales arent my friend, but that's ok. I've lost the puffiness around my abdomen. Went for a walk for a mile, longest in a while, and found that my ankles and feet weren't burning when Igot home. I have also lost the tree stump legs from the knees down. I now have ankles, they are still big but at least there is some shape now. So even though the scale isnt moving, I feel like I'm making progress. Walking tomorrow, don't care what the weather is.
Also I'm going to stick with either a bullet proof coffee or allowing a little cheese, cant have both. Really enjoying the radishes and cucumber.

Yesterday I went out with my husband, we needed a day out. We went for a drive and found a new place to eat. I had a crab cake (it wasnt really a cake it just just a big pile of crab meat) no fillers it was wonderful on an asian broccoli slaw. So there was probably a little sugar in the dressing but there wasnt a lot of dressing, I also had a small side of regular coleslaw, so it wasnt perfect but not bad.
Evening I cooked some shimp in butter and garlic on the stove and had a little salad (lettuce leaf, slice of onion and four slices of cucumber), I thought that wasnt too bad.
I had a fat bomb coffee too.
I find today the scales I saying I put on weight. LOL I've got to stick at this.
This morning I used whole milk I'd bought (thinking self - gotta be ok, milk is fat isnt it, might be nice in my hot tea - wrong its got heaps of sugar in it since when does milk have sugar in it and carbs lol, so I cant keep using that). OK any buddies reading this, whats a good way to kick start yourself into ketosis, what do you do for a few days, eat nothing but bullet proof coffee? and some fat bombs? Any suggestions greatly appreciated, today I had scrambled eggs (in butter) and 8 slices of bacon. Feel completely full.
Thanks for listening :-)

For me still learning, its really important to read and record what I'm doing, its easy to get confused to eat too much of one thing i.e. protein and not enough fat.... its a great journey

Losing 2.1 kg a Week
04 February 2017
Starting over today and trying to add science to this. I've been on keto for 2 weeks in the first week I lost 7 pound, now I've put on 2 pound, so not sure if I should weight myself. Using this process so I can see where the hidden carbs are for me. I didnt realise I shouldnt be having the protein shake for breakfast. I'll just eat bacon and eggs or something.
