Disappointed
I was following my plan pretty well and then last night we went to the Brewer game. I had a few beers and that led to nachos and hot dogs. I was only 300 calories over my RDI so I thought it wouldn't mess up my weigh in today, but it did...
I decided this morning that I am going to stop drinking until I am under 200 lbs. This is my challenge. My wife is not happy about this because we usually go out to see friends 1 to 2 times a week and that involves having some drinks. I'm not sure if I want to go out if all I am going to be drinking is water or diet soda. I live in Milwaukee...drinking is part of the culture! ;)
This is going to be a tough challenge. Not because I am going up alcohol, but because it is more of a social challenge. I hope I get the support I need at home because it seems to me that the one or two nights a week having some beers is what sabatoges me every week.

Put Down that Fork!
Seriously. I am trying to focus on setting down my fork (or sandwich) in between bites. I have a nasty habit of shoveling my food (if it is good) into my mouth and finish eating in record time. I have to change my mindset. Eating a meal is not a race. By slowing down and enjoying my food will allow my stomach time to send the message to my brain when it has had enough food. This is going to need to be a conscience effort while eating until it becomes a habit...creating a lifestyle change!
