m never certain how to start blog posts, but here goes. My first one.
I was the “victim” of oral contraceptive over-eating. In four years I gained 15kgs and nothing could have curbed my cravings or budged the scale.
I had no idea what they were doing to me and, on the advice of specialists, I stopped.

In July (three months after stopping) my friend needed moral support on a 12 week, 12 kg challenge she was doing prior to a trip abroad. I decided to walk a local promenade a couple times a week, in solidarity. I fell in love with walking. Genuine power walking.
I lost 1 or 2kgs and gained it back just as easily.
After the twelve weeks (end September), I continued on an irregular basis. Much to my surprise, by early October I had lost enough weight to know it was gone.
By the end of October I was almost 6kgs down. That’s when I decided to start this calorie tracking. On Saturday I weighed in at 8kgs less than my start weight in July.

I’m hoping to get all the way back down to 58kg’s, but have set 60kgs as my goal, because (apparently) age is something I need to factor in!

All in all, at 73kgs I loved myself. At 60kgs I will love myself. Throughout this journey, I love myself. This is a self love journey, so that my body, my temple, will last me the course of my life and allow my to pursue my dreams.
