Busy couple of weeks. Hit a deer with my new car, still drivable, goes into the shop Monday. My half sister's husband died of kidney failure so I've been trying to spend more time with her. She is doing amazingly well. Made a quick trip to the city and got a light fixture then helped hubby install it yesterday. Today was such a good day! Got together with a half a dozen gals from my class and spent the afternoon catching up with each other. We had our 50th class reunion a couple of weeks ago and the women decided to get together once a month and do something. Maybe just visit, play cards, or a craft. Next month we're traveling about an hour away to go to a quilt show. I'm looking forward to it. Hope you are all having a great week.

Too much trail mix! I was up to 129 but managed to take 2 of those pounds back off again. The kids are coming this weekend to help get MIL's house cleaned. After all the chaos of the auction the carpets need shampooed and the whole place needs a good cleaning since nobody has lived there of a little over a year. Dust everywhere!! Haven't decided what we are going to do with her house. Selling it just doesn't feel right, maybe it's just too soon. Probably just going to sit for awhile until hubby decides next step. Have a good week everyone!

MIL's auction was Saturday and it is such a relief to have it over with. We've worked hard for the last month to get ready. She has sooooo much stuff. Over 100 McCoy cookie jars, 100 lovely toothpick holders, crystal, crocks, china, some amazing antiques. It was a long and emotional day. It was hard to see the things she was so proud of being scattered to the 4 winds. We were happy that a large percentage of her cookie jars went into private collections of people who will cherish them like she did. I had visions of them ending up in antique malls. Now to get her house cleaned and decide what to do with it. It's a process! I'm kind of surprised I'm only down a pound, there was hardly time to eat and I went at a dead run this week. Hope you all had a good week.

Losing 0.2 kg a Week
09 September 2021
Busy busy couple of weeks. Went to my mom's for the weekend. Attended a birthday party for 2 nephews and a going away party for one of them. This week has been spent going to my MIL's house and trying to get ready for the auction. She NEVER threw anything away!!! We has digging and sorting literally thousands of items. Thrown away over 20 of the 55 gallon size trash bags of pure junk! We have a little over a week left to get ready. Our son and family came a couple of times and that was a big help. Going back again today and tomorrow. Will be glad when it is in the rearview mirror!!

Went to my niece's wedding last Friday. Was nice to see so many relatives, and meet new people. Got to know the groom's grandmother, a lovely lady. Went for my 6 month checkup and doc says my white cell counts are still off and I need to eat more proteins. The Zetia seems to be helping the cholesterol. I had taken statins for years and suddenly my liver enzymes when haywire and cholesterol shot way up when i quit taking the statins. All else was good, tho I went to donate blood 2 days ago and they wouldn't take it because my hemoglobin was too low, but barely. We finally met with an auctioneer about selling my MIL's possessions. It was emotionally exhausting! I know we have to do it to get the probate over with, but she loved her things and I hate to see them scattered to the four winds. Just have to hope they will go to people to will love them too. There are around 100 McCoy cookie jars and other McCoy pieces, plus Fostoria, Fenton, toothpick holders galore, quilts, etc, etc.
