Took the day off from logging food etc yesterday. Feeling under the weather, now instead of freezing cold we have rain all day today. Had lunch with my son yesterday, chose the caesar salad and grilled chicken. Did have 2 5 oz glasses of red wine. But I did not grab some of the bacon brownies that he made the day before. Was so tempted when I saw the picture on his food blog ClipboardKM, oh my, total decadence! On the good side they are gluten free and splenda can replace the sugar, in the recipe to reduce the carbs.
Did something I haven't done in a very long time, crawled into bed at 5:30 in the afternoon and watched movies, dozed off and on and then slept for 10 hours. Guess I needed it...

Yesterday was a stay home and stay warm day, made a pot of chili which turned out really good, hubby had his with bread I skipped the bread. However my friend brought me a late Christmas gift ( a big bag of mixed Chex and pecans all coated with caramel). I did munch some of those last night, will ask hubby to hide them this morning. At least for a month or so, they are sooooo good. And soooo bad for me :(
Need to get out today even though it will still be cold (will burn calories trying to stay warm). No weight loss in last 2 days, will go Mall walking and pick up some stuff I need. Like upgrading my iphone so that I can upload pictures for my cookbook. Set up a Photo Bucket account, but that's as far a I got.
Anyone have any tips on uploading pictures? I am a Newbie at this.

So much for well laid plans. Went shopping yesterday for meal plan items only to find that Fortino's were out of 2 of the proteins (on sale in their flyer) that were an crucial part of my meals; ground turkey and ground chicken. Not good, since temp today is -24 and I have no plans to leave my home at all. So, after calming down changed the plan and made chicken parmesan with a side of cucumber salad (no pasta), instead of turkey loaf. And today I am making a pot of chili, hot and spicy to counter the frigid cold outside (Fortino's did have extra lean ground beef).

Spent a quite day yesterday. Played in the kitchen for a while, made myself an awesome lunch, even though I considered skipping a meal (know that is bad). Blanched off some asparagus, made a caesar salad, whipped up an egg white omelet added the asparagus and a touch of freshly grated parmesan cheese. Plated and then added two slices of vine-ripened tomato for colour. Took a picture. This was all for me, as hubby went off to watch football. Did up our menu and shopping list for the week, so meal planning taken care of. Feeling more normal now, sugar cravings are now gone. It's a good thing, as Martha would say.
