Ok, reflection on my first "carb" load since back on Keto. I have decided I need to be better prepared next time. I am going to start planning now for the next carb day so i'm not rushing out and buying things that look good impulsively.
I felt really guilty eating so much today. Maybe if I didn't eat so poorly... I feel like I made bad food choices. Next time I want to use better food to fuel my body. Not pure sugar. Yes, yes sugar is sugar. Glucose, fructose, blah blah. But you cannot convince me a cup of brown sugar is the same as a cup of dates. So next time I am going to plan out some very healthy high carb meals (like the chickpea pancakes-I'm not upset about those!) No more jams (unless I decide to make my own). I think I need to allow myself one little cheat like a 1 serving store bought gluten free cookie or something. Because if I make it myself well, I either eat it all or throw it away so I don't eat all of it (what I had to do with my baked oatmeal...)
The funny thing is I rarely have eaten sugar like I did today. I just felt like a huge cheat and I'm starting to doubt that it was actually beneficial. I'm so nervous. After putting together my progress pictures I can see I have lost weight, yea maybe not quick enough. I just don't want to blow it. So that is why I am going to plan the carb load better so I don't junk out on sugar and probably majorly spike my blood sugar. Lyle McDonald says do high GI carbs but I just don't think I should do high GI carbs from junk. I'm going to buy some waxy corn maize which is apparently good high carb fast absorbing.
Physiologically, I feel drained. I think sugar crash? Must be. Struggling to concentrate although I did get a great deal done on my paper. I'm also a little gassy (hehe) and definitely bloated. Can't wait to find out how much I weigh tomorrow hahaha jk! I drank so much water today (1 gallon+) because I was thirsty! Normally, I struggle to finish a gallon. All day I have been hyper up, very anxious (sugar?) It is 12AM my viens are popping, very full. I'm going wake up tomorrow and see how I look.
As far as supplements go, I'm going to drop the glutamine because I don't want to risk ketosis.
