SO excited to be a relief racer for the challenge, it's such a great idea!!
today has been great so far..scrambled egg beaters and mushrooms for breakfast, veggies and chicken for lunch, and plain ff yogurt with an APPLE for a quick snack! just got home from basketball and i'll head off to hot yoga in about half an hour, so plenty of exercies too! one of my friends brought cookies to our student council meeting today (it was CUPCAKES yesterday! geez!) but i very politely DECLINED! it's all a matter of choices..would i rather have a chocolate chip cookie or size 8 jeans? NOT too hard a decision!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! I'm so excited to be able to finally record a loss! Before i found fat secret, i had gone from 176.5 to 165 in the two weeks after the holidays on south beach...but the next week was definitely not as successful, and i didn't even weigh myself because i was so disappointed and i didn't want to see the results on the scale. then i found fatsecret, and it's been a battle but i've lost 1.5 pounds from that original 165! (probably more, since i gained some after i got down to 165, but no worries) it's so exciting to see that little dot move down my chart!
i'm going to verrrrry slowly ease myself into phase 2 now...i want to keep losing, and i know it sounds silly but right now carbs are a little scary to me! but just a little at a time, and i'll keep up the exercise, and i know i'll get where i want to be!
thank you all so much for being such a wonderful support system. this is such a fabulous website, i am SO happy i found it :) and keep up the great work everyone..i know we can do it!!!

I had a really great day yesterday! My biggest problem is late night eating. It's such a bad habit, but I'll be doing homework or reading email and just snack snack snack..even if I'm not hungry. Very often I'm not hungry. I'm not breaking phase 1 even...because it's usually peanut butter or nuts. but too much of either of those is definitely not a good thing. so yesterday, i was not allowed to eat after 930- and i didn't! kept completely on track, and i had a basketball game last night too (so i got in a couple more calories burned!). it's so easy to get off track, so it feels great to get back on it again!
i have some cucumber chips in the oven (a variation of the eggplant chips recipe- can't wait to see how they turn out!) and then it's off to hot yoga, one of my absolute favorite forms of exercise. so far it's been another great day!
every day is a winding road :)

okay, so it has been three days since i have seriously followed south beach. i gave myself a bit of a break, but now i am getting right back on my horse and i will ride it to the finish line (150)!

Ooof. so, hopped off the wagon for a day. Last day of school before our little semester break, (no exams for seniors :] ) so we had a party in a couple of my classes, and what good's a party without carbs? i need to be able to mess up once without messing up the whole day. it's kind of a bummer, because today was going to be my third weigh day..but we are just going to exercise our buns off today and push it back to friday!
i love this journal...it's like a little buddy talking me back into the diet and the healthy mindset which i love but is hard to follow sometimes.
