Starting walking into town again . It's 3 miles each way. I feel very good as in virtuous. But the calories aren't falling off. I'm happy though, that I'm getting exercise.

fell right off the wagon these last few weeks. Started again today - I must remember it's a way of life. Also feeling like I'm going to burst is not a good feeling.

It is now nearly a year (started 13th January 2013) since I committed to disciplined eating, for instance, no sugary or refined foods,very restricted coffee intake - alcohol and fatty, salty food at the weekends. I attribute this mainly to changing to a whole food diet that includes beans, brown rice, lots of chillies and spices, nuts and seeds, flapjacks and granola, wholesome soups and last but not least, coconut oil for frying and making the above mentioned flapjacks and granola. The result is that my cholesterol has come down and I know what 'supple' means now.
