So when a friend of mine explained that she had been losing weight because she actually MEASURED what she was eating... I thought she was nuts. But I sooooo get it now. You HAVE to, in order to understand what you're consuming! (I had my lightbulb moment today...)
Anyway - been measuring away and am so happy with my new good habits. Basically, I have a budget at the beginning of every day and I just spend accordingly. If I want that apple, I know it means I cannot have something else. The good news is, I'm feeling like this is just a new reality, as opposed to a limitation I have had to put on myself. It's pretty cool.

Ha! So I guess I was retaining a bit of water, or my initial weigh in was pretty high? The calculator says that I am going to lose about a zillion pounds this week. That likely won't happen, but I am really proud of having followed two SOLID days of this. It's been really easy (am using the bb app.) Am also happy to have found a challenge that will be easy for me. I'm feeling motivated... look out!

So, when I first read this, I was surprised to see that 1500 calories was my "limit". Definitely didn't think that was possible. Then, what do you know? I did it! I just had a 1500 calorie day!!
Here's hoping this is do-able.
I have declared the kitchen off-limits until tomorrow morning. It is closed to me until tomorrow morning for coffee and a healthy breakfast at 6am!
I am hoping to get on the treadmill tomorrow morning at 5:30. In my previous life, 5:30 was the only time I could manage my workouts. Why mess with success? Keys to success for this will include: getting my gear out tonight, so that they call to me like those "Fibre One" commercials...
