I've struggled with my weight most of my life..I guess I've always loved sweets and (the wrong) foods. When I was 25 my weight was at its highest, nearly 230 pounds and I was very unhealthy. My husband at the time was mistreating me and I had three small kids to care for. It was then that I decided to educate myself about nutrition and fitness. I ended up losing 80 pounds (and eventually the husband too!) and I've kept most of it off but now and again I fall behind and gain some weight back. Not a ton but enough to make me feel uncomfortable.
I continue to educate myself about nutrition, the last few years I lean more towards a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle because it just makes me feel better. I'm not hardcore vegan but I try to avoid processed foods and most meat. For me, taking care of my health is a continuous learning process!
