Time for me to fill this out. It's been over six months since I set the account up.

I am a middle school health teacher. I am nearly 100# overweight but regarding my health I feel mostly fine. The mostly clarifier is due to the knee problems which I have been experiencing with more and more frequency. My blood pressure is good as are all my other tests. YAY!

My plan is to loose a significant amount of weight before my next birthday. So far I have dropped about 30# from my summer high of 290+. I have been stuck at around 260 for the past several months. I don't really watch what I eat and have instead been more focused on getting to the gym to exercise. It has helped but it seems that each time I have established my routine there is something to interrupt it. This past semester has been really bad. I am looking forward to the new year. There are only two days of no school. Since I do my workouts before school this will be really good for me. Volleyball will also be starting up again soon.

My weight has been a constant struggle for me. I did not get to the size I am until I was a Junior in college. It has been nearly 10 years since that time. In recent years I have become more comfortable with who I am and how I look. Much of this is due to Lane Bryant. Having clothes that are flattering is a huge mood booster.

I want to be a better example for my students. They know that I am active and so that part is good, but I have to limit my activities a bit (no running at the moment) and that sucks. I would like to travel a bit more, hike a bit more, and be able to get the REALLY cute clothes that seem to be made for only the thinner people.

I suppose I have contradicted myself a bit in this bio. On the one hand saying that I am comfortable with how I look and on the other saying that I'd like to look better. However, this is not a contradiction to me. Aren't we all striving for the betterment of ourselves?
