I am a 31 year old female who needs to get healthy. I work in the field of promoting health yet cannot get control of my own health. From what I understand, healthcare workers are the worst at taking care of ourselves. We want to care for everyone but ourselves.
I had a meltdown one day as I looked in the mirror. That evening was my wake-up call. Like many people, I read the article in People magazine about blogging my health changes as a support.
