Back in 2008 I reached my most heavy weight ever (226 lbs), I was in denial, and I didn’t want to see that I was not only obese but also that I had serious health problems. So I decided to do something about it, but where to start…?. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on diets or expensive programs (I tried that before and didn’t work) and I didn’t know much of good nutrition. So I did the most obvious thing to do eat less and exercise more. Sounds easy?..….. NO. It was hard to start, I mean, who can resist those delicious treats that we normally eat when we don’t care about what we eat? Or stop drinking that refreshing soda everyday? But if people set their mind in something anything is possible. I started by not eating junk food, or drinking soda, and just a simple walk around the block. “Motivation and desire are the key” to achieve any goal. After a few weeks I noticed some results, not extremely good results but still, I know I had to be patient and persistent. So each week I challenge myself to do better than the week before. Today I run about an hour every day approximately at 6 to 7 mph, my weight is 149 lbs, and not only that; I feel stronger, healthier, and more productive in my job, but most important more confident about myself, now I have a new goal. And that is to be a bodybuilder. So what I really try to say, is that to actually start, you don’t need special diets or super expensive machines or even other people’s opinions, all you have to do is set your mind and goals and say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
