I have struggled with weight all my life, however, as a teenager I was extremely active in sports so I always carried more weight because of the muscle I formed. However, the weight was toned since I was working out daily. I stopped the sports and gained weight from my WONDERFUL college years. I carried 50lbs (obviously a wonderful college experience) of excess college weight when I became pregnant with my first child. Then the second one came three years later and not only was I still overweight, I was also carrying the left over baby weight from my first pregnancy. A year after my second child's birth, I reached a whopping 248lbs. I was miserable and depressed, making it hard for me to be a the mom and wife I knew I could be. Not only were my insecurities emotionally weighing me down, I was physically "unfit" to care for my family. So, on Novemebr 15, 2010, I embarked on a medically supervised weight loss program. The program was geared towards extremely low caloric intake, with the use of appetite supressants and B12 injections. As of today, I weigh 192lbs. My total weight loss so far is 57lbs. I plan on finishing the month of March on the current weight loss program I have used to lose my weight so far, and then effective April 1, 2011, losing my last 20-25lbs on my own.... with the help of this site.
