I mustn't start getting complacent now I've reached my goal. Usually I check in here to catch up with my buddies and write a journal entry and I've been less strict on logging what I eat. However, I felt like I ate a lot yesterday, so I logged everything this morning and I'm about 30% over my usual RDI! Even though I'm maintaining, I feel that's too much and I'll need to be more careful if I'm not going to start gaining.
Two good things though, firstly, the meals I ate are within RDI and the surplus is all in the snacks, so they shouldn't be too hard to target. Secondly, I'm not recording my exercise but I have a brisk(ish) daily walk on soft sand for about an hour followed by a swim of about 20 minutes, so the daily calorie deficit should still be looking OK.
Even if I can 'afford' the extra calories, I'd rather they came from high nutrition sources than from high-fat snacks like ice cream and chocolate, so we'll try to turn that around. One or two beers a day is probably not going to change during the holidays though - nothing like an ice-cold beer poured into a glass from the freezer :)
