I've decided to go off SBD and go back to what I know, which is Weight Watchers and calorie counting. I've had big success with them in the past, lost 40 lbs, but just thought I wanted to try something different. The whole thought was that I didn't want to count calories and measure everything, but that is exactly what I'm doing. What didn't work for me about South Beach is that I can't have what I want (I NEED my grains & fruit), and my fat count was high, etc., I just think I'll do a whole lot better with this new plan. My mantra has always been a calorie is just a calorie, whether it be fat, protein, carb, or whatever, and I'm going back to that (yes, I know, fat grams have 9 calories, etc., but you know what I mean :). I'm not saying SB is bad, just not for me. In fact, I'll probably be doing pretty much phase 2 is what weight watchers amounts to. Don't worry team blue, I'm still very much in the race with you!! I didn't get an elliptical workout in yesterday, and guess what, my knees didn't hurt last night! The days I work out on the elliptical, my knees are killing me by bedtime, so I'll have to go through the manual to see how to adjust the pedals so that doesn't happen anymore. Hopefully I can do a slow painful hour today to make up for yesterday when the babe goes down for a nap :) There's a lot less kids activities today, so maybe I'll even get a video in. One can hope! Oh, and hooray, I didn't weigh in today!!! I surpassed the curiosity of the scale!
