OK, hubby got home and put the elliptical together (I was so on the wrong page, using directions for a different model, no wonder I was having problems :). I just had lunch, so I'm not going to get on right away, but I can't wait to test it out! Here we go, it's ONNN!

LOL I refuse to help hubby put things together anymore... it's always stressful and I can't stand it when he gets upset about it. lol Glad you figured it out! :)

Too funny. It's the opposite at my house. My husband was upstairs putting my elliptical together. Knowing he is not good at that stuff, I decided to go help. When I got up there, he had already screwed the bottom support legs to the base. I noticed immediately that the little rubber level adjustments were sticking up instead of down. He started fussing about the directions not being clear. When we turned the legs over, they had big letters saying L for left and R for right. We just had a good laugh and proceeded to finish TOGETHER.

That is too funny, your husband and I must be on the same technical level! Kick butt on your elliptical. I just tried mine out, it kicked mine for sure, I'm so excited to build up some endurance!

The elliptical usually kicks my butt! It is so hard. I quit giving up after a few minutes and started just giving myself a brief pause when my legs burn so bad I can't go. I can go much longer if I allow that pause now and then. I am building endurance but I still have a LONG way to go before I can do 30 minutes straight.

I hear you, though it's not my legs burning so bad, it's my heart I guess, I'm just so out of breath! I pause too, or just slow down a bit anyway, but actually I am probably working in the heart range I need to be, just not used to it cause I'm so out of shape! Hopefully we can work up to 30 minutes soon!

I think you're wise to pace yourself and build up endurance with time. In a while you will see that you can go faster or longer. Hey! your'e doing good! you got the machine and your using it for something other than a clothes rack!

Hey KellyBo, I lied, did 20 minutes today (5 more than yesterday),and guess what, my legs burned too, guess I was just so concentrated on my breathing yesterday that I didn't notice :) Janell - oh the clothes rack :) I promised my husband I wouldn't do that, it's happened before, but I was so excited for this one that it's just not happenin! My husband was telling me the same thing, to go slow and just do a little each day. I'm the type who likes to go all out and then is too sore the next day to do anything :)

Good girl. I am so proud of you for doing 20 minutes already! I still haven't done 20 minutes straight but I hope to within the next couple weeks.

Thanks, you'll be there in no time, like I said, I took it slow and wasn't probably in the right heart rate place, but I don't care :)
