OK, finally an OK calorie day, though I'd still like to get it lower, it's better than before - trying to work out the details!! I started this diet so that I wouldn't have to count and measure, yet that is exactly what I'm doing! I just want to get a reading though, to find what meals satisfy me and aren't too high calorie, so I can feel like I know what I'm doing without weighing and measuring. Before I started tracking everything, I thought I was doing great (because I wasnt' straying from the legal foods), but turns out I was on the high side calorie wise. Hope I can cut it even more tomorrow! I'm only weighing once a week, so I'm hoping the scale will finally surprise me this coming weigh in!! Oh, and I finally didn't eat past 7:30!! Man, this website is becoming addicting!

Im sorry to break it to you, but I thought as you did when I began sb; no weighing of foods, calculations-just as the book advised. BUT that turned out to be Bulls---. Until I started counting fats and carbs, calories, I could not work well within the diet. I think those instructions are for people who truly measure their foods by their hands, make natural choices regarding low fat foods; etc. The rest of us do need to calculate. Check your diary and the fat, carbs and proteins and total calories every day; it makes the difference....

I looked in on your diet calander as someone did for me just a week ago; fat should be between 25 & 35 grams per day. Once i dropped to that I saw better results (although I went up again later)....it's tough, but those numbers will help you. Grams of carbs are supposed to be about the same as proteins, but I have read many different opinions on that. "The world" at loarge says we should have many more carbs and proteins; according to OUR diet I don't think so-Just make sure you are eating complex carbs and keep your calories to where you think they need to be, and your fat within the range....that should do it. ( As I said I learned this about 1 week ago and have been here for 4 months at least.)
