For instance 120 lbs person, 120x10 =1200 for calorie deficit 😉
For maintaining weight x 14,15 or 16

If I were to do my weight x 10 it'd be 3410ish. That's even higher.
Last time I did weight-loss thing I consumed 1200-1500 a day and lost 130 lbs in a year. I went through some stuff and gained a good portion back. Went back on the diet and lost most of the weight again. Went through more stuff and gained a little back. Depression makes me gain weight. Counting calories and staying in a specific range helps me lose weight.
I just think the FS calculates really high.

We are on the same wave length. See my last journal post. We weigh about the same. I just don't know how to change it so the RDI = what I think my maximum should be each day in order to loose. I have averaged 1644 cal per day since Jan 1, 18 and my weight has not changed. So I am thinking my RDI needs to be 1500 cal/day in order to loose 1 to 1.5 lbs per week.

I started with the Web version and I liked it because I'm doing keto and I could track net carbs. I don't see that option in the app. With that and the inn a curate food data base or lack of, I'm going to use keto buddy. it works better for my needs.

I think the amount of calories is also based on if you are active or not 👍

Actually it depends on how many calories you burn. If you burn more then 500 then you ate.
, Your golden. But if your an active person and you normally burn a lot of calories, then 1500 intake is not enough. And you’ll find yourself going through a bunch of side effects because of this. (E.g. light headed, irrational, week, sleepy, etc). Be careful that you are eating enough. Figure out how much you are burning.
