Yesterday was the last day of my 7-day jump start with the GNC Total Lean Fast Loss Program. And boy what a jump start it was! I lost a total of 15lbs for the week. I've learned a lot with this program which incorporated a 1200-1500 calorie per day diet, supplements and meal-replacement shakes:

1. Plan Ahead--I never went out of my way to plan ahead like I did for this past week. I put everything in baggies, including individually baggied seasoned chicken breast. This help out a lot...chicken breast was on sale at my local discount supermarket for 99 cents a pound...so I bought 5lbs and barely used 1lbs the entire week. lol I used my handy dandy scale to measure out 3 oz, seasoned it and put each 3 oz in a baggie and froze. It defrosted in minutes and ready to cook, which makes for an easy dinner after a long day of work.

2. Write down your plans--The GNC program came with a meal plan which I quickly created an Excel sheet and adjusted the foods I liked as necessary. I also wrote down the workouts I planned to do each day and planned workout dates. This helped me drastically, for someone that follows a calendar all day.

3. Schedule your eating--Speaking of calendars, I actually set reminders on my Outlook calendar to stop and eat a snack or small meal. Eating in realistic 3-4 hour increments changed my overall appetite and seemed to shrink my stomach (if that is even possible, although it certainly felt like it).

Overall, I'm glad I did this. I implemented what I learned and will continue with the same caloric value because I didn't feel deprived and it garnered results.

I have been looking into some diet/detox pills. Would you recommend these? I dont think I could loose 15 lbs in a week though?! I have a fear of medication/tablets/injections....basically anything medical! Weird seeing that my two sisters are doctors! They always say diet pills are really bad, but so many people take them and a 7 day course cant be that bad, right? Anyway Im going to look into this GNC, hope it can help push my weight loss along, as i have stalled and havent lost anything in a week now! GOOD JOB ON THE DETOX!!

Thanks! I've never tried any detox pills, so I couldn't give you an accurate review on it. I have tried detox drinks in which you can't eat anything and that just drove me crazy due to deprivation of solid food. For me, fasting should be a spiritual thing, not for dieting. But, to each their own. The supplements that were in the GNC Total Lean 7-day plan were vitamins and metabolism boosters. Although, the kit contained a "Pre-Diet Cleanse" which I didn't use because of the sugar content (11g for one serving!). I don't miss it.
