Is that a mexican thing? I grew them on balcony boxes once, they're good scooped out and stuffed. Didn't know the origin, though. Looks delicious this way as well.

I believe so. Was raised with the traditional Zucchini "calabazitas". Saw this for the first time in my life at Mex Mercado labeled Mexican Ball Squash.
