i'm happy to say that all is going well w/ my diet, but i'm going to have to postpone it for a week or 2. i need to quit smoking. i think that stopping smoking now is the best thing i can do for myself. i know that atkins works, and i will continue to lose weight when iam a nonsmoker. so.. wish me luck !

I quit smoking & continued the Atkins diet. It kept me from gaining when I quit & I've been a nonsmoker for 7 mths now :)

You are SO right. As a medical professional, I can tell you with COMPLETE confidence that quitting smoking should definately be your number one goal. Good for you!! :-)

congrats to barb61 for quitting !!. i myself know that i will need some candy while i quit lol. i have done it before and i just go cold turkey. slowing down is not for me. i will be crazy for a bout 5 days lol. but i will be smoke free !!
