Yes, definitely give yourself some recovery time! How'd the ankle weights work? I've heard mixed reviews on using those (concerns that they make you more susceptible to injury).

I really like them and often wear them around the house. I do kicks, knees up, curls and other things without any problems. I can't see the problem with injury. When you're heavy, your legs are heavy too and act as "natural weights". Of course you have to be careful with all movements, correct form etc. But that applies to all exercise. I think they only weigh 2 or 3 lb each.

Definitely need recovery time, unless you're going to work another area. I have some ankle weights I never use. I'll have to use them on the treadmill. Thanks for reminding me.

Heather, I would "work another area" if there was one that didn't hurt. Though it's meant as aerobic exercise I converted it into a whole body workout and there is no muscle that doesn't hurt. Success! Hopefully I'll be fit again tomorrow.

i see. that makes sense. I didn't know because I don't really do the aerobic stuff yet. Hope you feel better soon. Maybe a nice long soak as Sk1nny would say.

Hmmm...nice long soak sounds great. Will do that when I get home.
Also going out for food tonight, I am not looking forward to it! My plan is no starter, lowish carb main meal (maybe a big salad), one spoonful of my hubby's dessert if I like it and ONE small glass of wine. I will NOT be bullied into eating or drinking more!

WTG Lara. Good luck. Don't forget to drink lots of water before and during dinner.
