Didn't get outside yesterday. The sun was shining, it was crisp and clear and COLD! Temperature of -10 Celsius BEFORE windchill. And today is no better...in fact, worse! This morning was a freezing -18 and today's *high* is only -10 again. Talk about an extreme cold weather alert!

I've missed running the past few days. I always try to get out 3-4 times a week. There are some great parks and trails near my house. But I know that my fingertips and toes don't do well in extreme cold. (It's times like this I'm glad I don't live in Manitoba or Saskatchewan!) My circulation isn't always the greatest. My hands and feet swell up something awful in the cold weather, even if I'm moving briskly and keeping warm. I've learned to be careful.

However, tomorrow is supposed to be a practically balmy -6. That I can do.

Tonight is Games Night at my place. Trivial Pursuit, Scene It, Monopoly, Yahtzee...classic board games and such. Maybe a little Tetris. My sister and I can play Tetris for hours. We're serving homemade bruschetta, veggies and dip, fresh fruit and red wine. It should be a fun night. And I won't be tempted to go too overboard with the wine and snacks. I have to keep my wits sharp!
