Holy COW!!! I guess Atkins has stepped up their game since I last did this diet!! I've sorta been dreadin trying an Atkins bar, since quite frankly, they used to taste like crap! But I'm at work today, and actually got hungry, so I tentative;y took a small bite of a mudslide bar, and OMG!!! I had to MAKE myself eat it slowly - it was SO good!!!! It is just so different doing low carb this time around! So much easier and better, so much more support, etc. I actually see a light at the end of this dang tunnell. It's a long way off, but it's there for the first time in many years!

I would go easy on the atkins bars. I love them too. The Caramel Fudge Brownie and the Cranberry Almond are to die for but they slowed me down so unfortunately I am laying off them for a little while. They may not do the same for you just saying.... The net carbs are 2 or 3 but the sugar alcohols affect some people and I guess I happen to be one of them. <sigh>

I'm being really careful about them - so far have had no more than 1 Atkins product per day, even though the book says you can have two...just being cautious. I'm less than a week into it, and already have lost all the cravings and such, so I don't want to mess that up by indulging too much in "sweet" things. They sure help though, when you're hungry and none of the heavy stuff or veggies sound good.
