It's bittersweet. So after yesterday's snafu with the scales I decided to try again today. Yes it finally gave me a reading I can deal with by having dropped 4.5 lbs. and after repeated on and off of the scale it still showed a 4.5lb drop! Unfortunately that great news came right before the news of the death of an aunt of mine. :-( My first instinct is to eat, since I am an emotional eater, but I am here to look and read support for me not to go that route even during difficult times.

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. It's great though that you are resisting your first instinct. Praying for your family.
Congrats on the weight loss. :)

Oh, Xana. I am so sorry for the loss of your Aunt. Congrats on your 4 pounds. Try to push through this time with out eating. I'm not sure if you're a religious person, but try saying a prayer for comfort each time you feel the need to eat. Look to God to comfort you rather than food. His comfort will last eternally.

My condolences Xana, it is hard to lose a family member. As you encouraged me, our lives belong to God and we just have to let Him lead because He got this. God looks @ your world and said let me Handle it and you keep pushing forward. Congratulations on the 4LBS and I second B, look to God for Comfort. You can do this. Stay Bless!
Have a great day all of you!
