Last night, after recording an entry about my fall from grace, I reviewed my journals of the past 6 months. I discovered that everytime I fell off the wagon, it involved eating in a social setting; whether it was going out to breakfast, lunch, or dinner with one of my siblings, or a family gathering. Sometimes I did better than others, sometimes I just crash and burned, and it led to a few days of saying the familiar,"Well, since I've already eaten this, it won't hurt me to eat that". It also led to regret, at not being strong enough to avoid the situation, and having to get back on track. This, flipflopping, is unacceptable. So, for the forseeable future, I'll forego eating out, and do what I know how to do, which is cook for myself. I'll be able to better track what I eat, and stay on plan, without distraction. Oh, and did I mention, inspite of yesterday's fall off the wagon, I'm down 7 pounds since last Wednesday. Hoo Yaa!
