I got the most amazingly wonderful nap in today! I slept for a full 3.5 hours.. that's right! I would have slept even longer had I not needed to get up for a hair appointment. I'm glad I did as my roots are not longer grayish white... but a beautiful mixtures of brown that my stylist custom mixes for me. It's very close to what I remember my natural color being.. just a little bit lighter. Of course, perhaps I don't remember my natural color all that well considering I have not seen it since I was 18 years old. *smiles* I have indeed put my hair through some traumatic experiences with bleach and outrageous colors. Oh well, it was all in the cycle of living!
I haven't eaten anything today and haven't really been all that hungry. That confirms the fact that my binging over the past few days was hormonal and stress related. I hadn't slept more than 3 hours a night for the past 3 nights. That nap gave me the zap I needed to get back on track. Now, before you start fussing, I will be eating shortly. I just didn't have time to grab something to eat with my schedule today. I didn't wake up until 11 and by the time I finished with my shower and some housework, it was already 12:30! I had to rush out of the door to my hair appointment at 1.
After my hair appointment, I went visit one of my besties. I haven't seen her much over the past few weeks because our kids have been home from school and the holiday schedule is just craziness! I think we met up ONCE for a playdate. It's so tough with her work schedule, my work schedule, and our kids' schedules! Anyway, I didn't get to her place until almost 3 and had time for 1.5 cups of coffee before rushing home. I made it about 3 minutes before the bus. I had time to grab the trash cans from the road, go back to check my mail, and grab my purse before the bus was pulling up.
The kid and I breezed through homework. Thanksfully it was only 2 short sheehts today. I threw together a meatloaf in about 2 minutes and put it to bake.. then threw together a tomato sauce which is simmering at the moment. I will boil some corn on the cob (which makes my son so excited) in just a few minutes and slice my meatloaf into my tomato gravy.. rice is already in the fridge from yesterday. I just have to warm it. All, in all, a pretty healthy meal. (I only buy 90% or higher lean ground beef). I cannot get away with ground turkey or chicken because my husband has his limits. I'm okay with that. Red meat, in moderation, isn't bad!
I have been a bear all week, but I attribute it to my lack of sleep really. Today has been sooo much better. I feel alive again.. not half-dead!
Hope everyone is having a productive week.. I need to go finish dinner and then it's off to work in about an hour! YIKES! run run run!
Until later, -Pretty
