I guess it's true that exercise ultimately gives you more energy.... Yesterday I walked the dogs 2x x 20 minutes, did 45 minutes of PT for my shoulder, walked 1.66 miles on the track in 30 minutes, and finished off with 25 minutes of weight machines. I was totally exhausted when I got home, but then this morning I got up at 6:30 and by 2:00 pm I had walked the dogs and made their meals for the day, gone to get my bloodwork for my physical next week, taken the car in for service and left in a comp car from the dealership (really nice Nissan Rogue), bought new bras and a couple sale items at Nordstrom, gone to the shoe store to replace my waterproof and non-waterproof Merrill walking shoes in hope that my feet will now stay dry and my ankle will stop hurting, stopped at the cleaners where the lady was nice enough to move a button on a jacket while I waited, came home, unloaded the car, sprayed the new shoes with waterproofing, made salmon salad and ate lunch. When I listed it all out, I couldn't believe had had managed to accomplish all that. I just have to start getting up earlier in the morning and getting started with my day. I have too many days when all of the sudden it's 2pm and I don't know where the day went. Now I have the afternoon ahead of me, and, even better, I arranged for a dog walker today, so I get to stay inside in the early dark blustery weather, while the furkids get some good exercise. Hooray.
