I am happy to report that I survived all the Christmas temptations without too much damage. The festivities started on Saturday night with the Christmas Eve extended family gathering. The variety of appetizers and desserts was endless. Oddly, I wasn't even tempted by them. I brought a bowl of greek yogurt with fresh raspberries with me and that's all I ate the entire night.
Then for Christmas dinner, I decided that I would have my first cheat meal. As it turned out, it wasn't really much of a cheat meal. Dinner was actually fairly clean - pork roast, roasted potatoes, carrots, and green beans (no gravies, sauces or butter on anything). I did, however, enjoy 2 small homemade white dinner rolls. I also indulged in a few of the desserts - nothing too extravagant, just small samples here and there. Based on my rough calculations, I think my total calories for the day fell right around my TDEE, maybe even a little below. All in all, I feel pretty good about my choices!
And the best part of all? I am down another pound since Saturday morning! :) It sure is nice to see a weight LOSS the day after Christmas!!
