mommys_angels's Journal, 22 May 07

I am so proud of myself. I've been so faithful on this diet for the last week and my best friend already quit. She's skinny though and really only needs to exercise to get tone. Anyways, I was reading some of other peoples journals and I noticed a lot of people were rewarding themselves when they reached a short term goal. So I thought to keep myself motivated I would do the same. My first goal is to get to 235. When I first signed up for fatsecret that is how much I weighed. But it took me a while to start a diet so my number jumped on the scale. Once I reach that goal my second goal is to reach 220. That is how much I weighed before I got pregnant with my second daughter. My third goal is to reach 199, I don't want to have a 2 in front when I weigh myself anymore. My 4th goal is to reach 180, which is what I weighed before I was pregnant with my first daughter. Then my 5th goal is 160, that is what I weighed when I met my husband. Last, I would like to be between 140 and 150. Each time I reach my goal I will reward myself with a day for me. I will get to go shopping and buy a new outfit, get my nails done and maybe a massage. My mother is trying to motivate me and told me she would take me on a shopping spree when I reach my goal weight. And my husband said when I get to my goal weight he would take me to Hawaii. I can't wait for the healthier newer me!

I like the way you broke that down into separate, more easily attainable goals. You sound like you have great enthusiasm to reach them. Good Luck!

I'm proud of you too! I'm so glad your rewards aren't food splurges. I'm bad about that. I'll say, ok, when I lose 10 lbs. I'm eating the biggest, cheesiest pizza I can find.... But that's stupid. You have great goals and great rewards that will make you feel a lot better about yourself than eating some diet-wrecking gutbomb. Way to go!!!
