I've lost most of the water weight I've put on from my carbohydrate binge I had over the weekend. I have not yet seen any more than a trace level of ketones, but I can tell that my body is finally hitting the "ruh roh, where are mah carbs!?" point. The keto flu is kicking in. The odd thing I noticed before is that when I ate a single cheat meal, it never really kicked me out of ketosis. What it did do was reduce the ketosis, but never did it appear to take me out completely. In this case, I definitely removed myself from ketosis completely. I am guessing that the increased carbohydrate intake over more than a single meal period is to blame. (Makes sense, after all.)

When I went to the store the other night I ended up buying a bunch of fruits and vegetables to make smoothies, stew, and other types of carbohydrate filled goodies. Overall healthy stuff, but with carbs. I'm not sure if I am ready to go that route yet. I've been trying to plan out meals for a cyclical carb diet and have been having a hard time getting the right amount of carbs each day. The simplest thing seems to be to make it less cyclical, just making two days straight low carb and then two days heavier carb. Those days I'd eat the same thing as the low carb days, but I'd throw in an additional meal/carb source right before a work out, and follow the work out with a whey protein smoothies with some strawberries and bananas.

That seems like the simplest solution to the logistics of the meal prep process. Most of the stuff will stay well for a while, so I'll hold off until I get a better grip on the whole process.

I'm thinking I might go to the doctor for the back pain I have again as the physical therapists don't seem to think they can help. I want to strength train, and I know that I'll be sore afterwards, but this back pain isn't normal muscle pain. They need to figure it out IMO!

Keto flu rant over. Pretty sure that is all a jumble as my mind feels foggy. I even warned my supervisor, who has been tagging along with some of the diet research I've been doing, that my mind is a bit foggy and he should be wary lol. He's like "you look like you need to go to bed, I know how you feel man". He's been understanding, so that's great. Hell. He is one of the few people that saw me at my max weight. So he knows that I'm rocking that weight off. He's a big body builder type and he is asking ME questions about nutrition and diet. I warned him I don't know what I'm doing, but that this is the information that I found. Etc. Take it with a grain of salt. Think he respects that, so that's a plus. Anyways, I'm thinking I might head to bed early today. Pretty tired out. Have a good one my fatsecret people.
