It is a beautiful morning in Tampa. They are saying we need to enjoy this weather as it will soon turn cold. At home, my Dear darling said it was 32 this morning - I am expecting to get sick from the extreme climate change...

I did not tell you yesterday but I had bad issues yesterday. As you know, I have blood pressure issues. My Dr doubled some of my medicine and I was just taking 2 pills up until Sunday night when I took the first 80 mg pill. Well yesterday AM I thought i was going to die. My BP was 86/54. It was awful. This morning it was 106/68 and I feel fine. My question is - why does this happen? What can you do when something like this happens?

Sometimes it can be from too little salt or even dehydration...so a cup of chicken broth is what was recommended by my mom's dr, followed by a glass of water. And moving slowly to wait for it to recover. It also could be the adjustment in the med's causing the flux.

Thanks. next time I will try that. The odd thing is that I was taking 2 40 mg pills for at least a couple of weeks. Then, when I got the prescription for the 80 mg pill - it happend. it very well may be coincidence but as I said, it is strange. Plus, I wonder if the 'going' had any effect. Maybe once things started to move, my body had some sort of a reaction. Who knows - I just know that I don't want to feel like that again any time soon.

I know what you mean. One day (over a year ago), I was blow drying my hair. And I have long hair, so I was bent over w/ it upside down, etc... then when I stood up and flipped my hair back, the whole room went white...I slid down the bathroom wall reaching for the floor and started crying. I thought I was on my last breath. It scared the ever living *@%! out of me!!! LOL! My husband brought me to the ER - and low and behold...my blood pressure was low. (but recovering and going up). They gave me the same advice. You should google low blood pressure and do a little reading just to be aware in case it happens again.
