When I keep my calories at 1300 I seem to always lose weight...especially when adding weight training. Going to commit to 1300 calories & a gym workout everyday this week and see if I can't get that arrow down a few pounds by weeks end! I have abstained from drinking a GoGirl for the past 5 days. Mostly because I know it isn't good for me...all it is is a bunch of yummy chemicals! I also think it contributes to bloating. I "feel" slimmer when I stick to water. So...I am also going to try to continue abstaining from that for another 5 days.

Overall, I still am ok with how my body is somewhat maintaining...even when I go over the 1300 caloric limit (nothing crazy...but probably a few hundred more).

Really trying to find the balance between burning fat and building muscle. Very open to the community to hear their successes with that challenge :)

IMO, the fast burning and muscle building go hand in hand. Muscles require more calories to support, thereby helping fat burn.

The water is a good thing, even the flavored water!

Weightlifting beats the treadmill but you've got to maintain good calories to avoid your body going after lean muscle. Key word "good" calories.

I have been an avid gym goer for over a year with a great focus on lifting heavy these past 6 months. I do very little cardio. I eat mostly all whole foods...so I really am trying to figure out what I can tweak in my diet to not lose lean muscle but continue to drop the fat? I still have a pretty high fat percentage at 27% last time I checked about 2 weeks ago. My goal is 20% fat so I have about 9 lbs of fat left to drop at this point.

Thanks Glen! I have slipped on my tracking and am back to being accountable and keeping in that 1300 range. I really want to see how my body performs in the 126 range. Just a few more pounds to get there!
