I usually visualize my weight loss in # of cans of Crisco. Each can is 3lbs. If an Irish Setter is 60 pounds then you lost 20 cans of Crisco. Next time you are in the store make a pyramid out of 20 cans. Fat has less density than water and a lot density than muscle, so the mass of a can of Crisco will be closer to what you lost in mass.

I lost a 2 yr old with a cinder block. That's why no one asks me to babysit.

I have lost a spare tire! Now I just need to lose that 5 pound Maltese. (They are much sweeter and cuddly than chihuahuas - I just got bit by one the other day!)

Thanks for sharing this fun chart. So now I will envision the Guinea pig I gained this morning and try to avoid it turning into a box of Krispey Kremes.

50 pounds = a small bag of cement, 60 pounds = 40 DOZEN eggs, 70 pounds = a small child 80 pounds = 4 full size tires or a baby black rhino And remember guys and gals, we have members who have lost over 200 pounds.

yep and the chart goes as far as 400 lbs, which is a Welsh Pony! Just thought it was a cute and telling chart. Saw it a few months ago here on FS and kept it. :)

Today - I was thinking about granny's fun comparison chart & thought it would be interesting to see a "food" or "animals" or "things" comparison. So actually during my google search I learned the average ostrich egg weighs 2.5 lbs not 4 pounds, therefore I actually need to lose about 9 Guinea pigs or 85 mice or 20 rolls of toilet paper or 1,500 paper clips or jelly beans!
Here is the site that converts the weight into things:http://www.bluebulbprojects.com/measureofthings
It really puts things into perspective when we imagine it.
