I'm tired of being fat too... but as long as we keep working on it, we'll get there. Sure some days are gonna be harder than others - and some weeks are going to have better results than others... but as long as you don't give up - You'll get there. Don't give up, YOU WILL GET THERE! Stay strong - put the Twinkie down... go outside and take a walk. You'll feel better. :-) ...If its any consolation - it looks like your losing weight and not putting it on and as long as that's happening, no matter how minuscule - you're still losing... that's success to me! How do you define success?

I have the same weight goal in mind as you, and I have a lot more to lose. I started about three and a half weeks ago, and while it's slow, I've been losing weight. My advice is to really keep watch of what you're eating and how much. The food journal on here really helps count calories, as well as the exercise diary. Cutting out red meat, white bread/white rice, and desserts help a lot, as well as cutting out soda and caffeine. I also try to work out 5-6 days a week for an hour or two. Add a fair amount of cardio to your life and it should quicken your metabolism. Weight training and muscle building also helps, just having muscle burns a fair amount of energy, so the more you have the more you burn. It's ok to eat the things you want, you just have to keep track of how much. This is doable, I promise. It's not going to be easy, but the feel of being healthy is a lot better than the feel of eating crap and feeling guilty after.

my main problem is I can't go for a walk, after 3 back surgeries, standing any length of time or walking causes unbearable back pain & dieting without excercize doesnt work

A back brace and shoe inserts can help ease some of the back pain while standing. Dieting without exercise can still do a body good, mixed with the right amount of sleep. My mom has had several brain surgeries, back surgeries, and a foot that never set right after it was broken some 20 years ago. While she can't do much exercising, she switched to a better diet, got a pedometer, and has been losing weight. It's all about being as healthy as you can, even if you are limited in some ways. You can do it, don't give up!
