BUMMER.

Even though I have been so careful all these months about my form and my warm ups, stretches, and cool-downs, I still have managed to develop an uncomfortable condition in my right foot, and now, almost all of the lower part of that leg. I have tingling and numbness in my toes and foot after about 20 - 30 minutes of jogging, but it has always subsided after my workout. In the last few days it has gotten worse and Aleve and ice hasn't helped at all today. I am NOT happy about this.

Tomorrow I'm going to go back to the running store where I bought my shoes and see if they can help me, I did a little reading on the runners world website and it had some information about this, and it is not uncommon in newbie runners like me. Anyway, wish me luck, I do not want anything to derail me at the last minute before my race.

So I guess I will take tomorrow off from the gym even though I don't want to. Gotta take care of the feets. I also have an appointment with a massage therapist tomorrow afternoon, so maybe I can get some relief there as well. Here's to no more numbness!

Anyway I hope everyone has a great evening. And remember, if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. :-)

Peace.

Bummer indeed. I have chronic plantar fasciitis and it just sucks. Saps my will to move. It's gotten a lot better since I learned to do stretches with my feet every day, regardless of whether or not I work out. Hopefully the running store will have some good advice for you. Good luck!

I'm very sorry to hear about your foot. It picked a fine time to act up! Hopefully the running store has some suggestions for you. The massage should be beneficial also. Me, myself, and I will love the one we're with, so no worries there! I'm sending you a plethora of GET WELL HUGS!!

Oh no!!! Oh no!!! Oh no!!! I do hope then running store has a solution for you. There was a post on FS, about people complaining their feet/foot goes numb and tingly on the cross trainer. Not sure if this is similar to your issue. The general consensus was, that it was because the blood flow was stopped from flowing properly, due to pressure. I hope it is something like that, at least that may be resolved by chage of shoes or technique, rather than something like 'plantar fasciitis'. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Hey annabellep i too have chronic plantar faciatis have had it for 3 years on and off now had a steroid injection earlier on this year it eased the situation but unfortuantely it is just in another part of my foot, i do find that sometimes there is a bit of pain free moments nut i guess i just get used to it now hoping that when the weight comes off it will feel better, i also have osteo arthritis in the other foot so i am like you and find exercise hard at times never mind at least we still have our feet!!

I am so sorry to hear this. Recovering from two different foot injuries myself, I feel for anyone who has foot pain. DO take the time to let it heal a bit. Praying it will resolve soon.
