It seems that no matter how many successes we have, there's always something lurking, around the corner, that threatens to give you a setback. My net carbs are extremely low today. I still have a cheese danish, in the fridge that I forgot was there, prior to beginning Induction. The thought crossed my mind, it wouldn't hurt me if I ate half of it; I could still be under 30 net carbs for the day, and it wouldn't matter. The truth of it is; it would hurt, because there's no way I would stop at half, and even though it would be gone, and I'd be back on track tomorrow, it's still not worth it. I generally suffer from leg cramps, after being on low carb for a while, and suddenly eat something with that much sugar in it. So, yes, it would hurt, painfully. Just the thought of that, and knowing that it would throw my system out of sync, was enough to bring me back to reality, and leave the danish alone. I can give it to my brother when I see him on Tuesday, and it will no longer be a threat; just lurking in the fridge, waiting for a moment of weakness. So, I guess I win again; this time.
